You go up to the loft to get into this room. Formerly, you had to follow this pathway to go and collect the eggs. The staircase is outside the tower. First, you enter a kind of locked room,
then you pass a second door which open onto the room itself. Woodwork and fittings are genuine. The ceiling is unique. It consists of small chestnut strips laid side by side on oak beams. The coating of the walls is also unusual because it has been given an old patina consisting of a mixture of lime and ocher yellow fine sand.
Associated to old materials, the atmosphere here is particularly romantic. Compared to a castle room where the feeling is often impersonal, the tower surrounds us warmly. You just feel like young lovers in a swashbuckling story.
A small table is set in a corner of the room to write this adventure, it only needs a pen and inkwell.
