This is the “master’s” room due to its large volume and high ceiling, easily reached by a generous antechamber. Sash windows remind us of the old manor architecture.
Some of their small tiles are authentic. They give you a distorting vision when looking through. These old windows without any insulation have been doubled by on-windowing set on the inner side wall. Thus, they keep their historical integrity without compromising the comfort of the room. The floor is in great tommette original size.
The tapestry is a drawing by J.B Huet entitled “The 4 parts of the world”(1792). Europe, Asia, Africa and America are each the subject of an allegorical scene.
