Here is the third house. Since 2005, I stored here the 18 000 bottles of wine I should have sold from my previous activity , hence its name : The Chai.
Roof decline, cracked walls, saggy ground, rotten floor….everything here must be redone.
Summer 2010, even though the cottages are not completely finished, we start the roof work of the “chai”: uncovering, adjusting the frame and aligning the rafters, insulation, battens and roof tile settings. I purchased Turkish flat ground stone during a trip in the South of France in the Mediterranean . Floating floors all over the ground floor.
In Autumn 2010, my old tractor and I made and landscaped the surroundings for the lodge arrival. My wish to get closer to my previous profession led me to consecrate a small but sunny parcel to grow some rows of “Pinot noir” next year.
In that way, from the terrace, you will be able to smell the vineyard scents and see the grapes ripen.
